Op basis van de nieuwste inzichten wordt het gebruik van supplementen met jodium (o.a. multivitamines, kelptabletten) afgeraden bij Hashimoto. Het stimuleert de ontwikkeling van een trage schildklier en kan het immuunsysteem stimuleren, waardoor het nóg actiever wordt.
Kwaliteit supplementen
Goedkoop is vaak duurkoop. Goedkope supplementen zijn vaak van lagere kwaliteit. Als een supplement veel goedkoper is dan die van een ander merk, dan is de kans groot dat de kwaliteit veel lager is. Laat je daarom bij voorkeur adviseren door een orthomoleculair/kPNI-therapeut.
